Preface

Since many readers today have little time for lengthy books and often seek answers as quickly as possible, I have endeavored to keep these articles concise. Those who have already considered one of the subjects presented here will, I trust, find a satisfying answer. Those encountering a subject for the first time will hopefully be encouraged by this intentionally brief presentation to search the Scriptures for themselves and to prove these things by the Word of God.

Nevertheless, one principle remains true: every thorough investigation requires much time. In our case, this means time spent reading and meditating upon the Bible, in prayer, and in waiting before God for His answer. Such time is well invested, for the matter at hand is of eternal importance.
